About Rick
Rick Hardy is associate vice president for marketing and communications at Concordia University Irvine (California), named by The Chronicle of Higher Education in 2015 as one of the fastest growing private nonprofit master’s institutions. Rick leads marketing for the university, and manages an integrated marketing and communications division that includes website, digital, communications, social, advertising, PR, print, and CRM teams.
Rick joined Concordia in 2010, right in the middle of the seismic shift in the marketing environment that began to snowball in 2009 toward digital and social media. Rick reorganized the marketing and communications unit from the ground up with a focus on content strategy and storytelling.
Rick cut his teeth professionally at Vanguard University (California), where he served in multiple roles on the faculty and in senior leadership, including vice president for enrollment management and advancement, CMO, director of admissions, registrar, and assistant professor of television and film.
Rick is active professionally on Twitter (@rickahardy) and LinkedIn (in/rickahardy), and has been a speaker at the Lawlor Summer Symposium, and the CCCU Chief Enrollment Officers and Chief Marketing Officers conferences.

Hi SIR!
Been surfing the net for reference materials for a project on market profiling.
Glad to have stumbled upon your blogs/website with more progressive ideas
(compared with the traditional perspective) and, more so, specific
to the academe, as my client is a college transitioning to universityhood.
Find your theories and concepts interesting and relevant to the changing times.
More power and GODSPEED!
Thanks, Judith, for your kind comments. I’m very happy you have found the blog to be helpful.
